What to Do on Active Rest Day?

Hello, could any anyone tell me what kind of things to do on active rest days as I am doing 5/3/1 and wasn’t sure what kind of things to do e.g. farmers walks and cardio etc.

Remember what Wendler says about adding things to a program? As you add, you need to take away.

Go back and re-read the books

There’s mobility work daily and there is “easy” conditioning.

I reckon just sleep more, eat better and chill out instead of doing random shit that’s probably gonna just be more work that takes away from recovery.

go walk and strectch ! best active rest possible and will increase your recovery

Like everyone else above said there are a lot options. Good news is, is that you can try and see what works for you. Cut out the stuff that doesn’t.

Walking is the best way to deal with days off. Farmers carry can be done on normal training days if you want to add it.
