What Make You Grateful to Be Alive?

What makes you grateful to be alive?
For me I'd have to say:
1.The tenderness of my daughter's cheek against mine when I wake her up with a hug and kiss on the forehead each morning. There is no better feeling in the world.

2.Looking into her big beautiful blues eyes and hearing her respond â??I love you too daddyâ?? when dropping her off at school. Unconditional love (given or received) is a rarity these days.

3.The smell of dew on the grass in the morning or the smell of rain in the air after a good storm. I finally quit smoking after almost 17 years (coming up on three years this December) This is one of the few things that keeps me from going back. The sense of smell is one thing Iâ??ll never take for granted again.

4.A good powerful summer thunderstorm. I donâ??t know about the rest of you, but there is nothing like a good thunderstorm out here on the plains to really knock you on your ass and fill you with a sense of awe and vulnerability; to remind you how small you really are in the scheme of things.

Cake and orgasms.

Dat ass

My wife, my son, my dream job, DebD on these forums.

Edit: What happened to my cake comment?

edit: LOL

My daughter and my wife.

I'm grateful I've been able to return to school and finish my education too.

My wife, my friends, rock music, heavy weights, and good craft beer.

In that order.

Girls in Yoga Pants...but only if they've got the goods to wear em properly

Just about everything. I do this cheezy thing called a Gratitude List every so often.

Everything ends up on it sooner or later.

Drugs, good workouts, good steaks, good sex, good music and chances to prove how much smarter I am than other people.

Why does this bring the "Challenge of Wits" scene from The Princess Bride to mind?

Motorcycles, good beer, deadlift PR's (then dropping that shit in my commercial gym), putting on armor and beating others with weapons (SCA fighting).

... Shit this was all I could come up with.

The pump. it's like cumming.

So can you believe how much in heaven I am?

My kids, a nice long run to work up a thirst and then drown it in beer, lifting heavy, working hard, shutting people's mouths when they think I can't do something, and other generally silly shit.

Too many things to list.

Uhm, training and... AustinB's avvies
