A hero is someone who will do right no matter how grim the situation looks. Someone who can stare death in the face and hock a loogie into it, and keep going. Basically, the Rangers. RLTW

A hero is someone who does the right thing, on a consistent basis, with no ulterior motive other than the satisfaction of doing the right thing.

a hero is someone who does what is hard over what is easy in situations, which are of importance, the easy things in life are most likey to be the haven of cowards, in those instances of importance.
