Same thing as a lift off…

The term “jump up” is used to describe a movement in which a person exerts a certain amount of force through his/her leg muscles (gluteus, quadriceps, biceps femoris and gastrocnemius primarily) applying it to the ground, thereby propelling that person upwards (in a vertical manner) for a certain distance.
