I’m with Cco 3/172nd INF (MTN) 86th Infantry brigade combat team. Whatever the fuck that means.
Outside of the NH National Guard they call us the Mountain boys.
One night in Iraq a girl who was making conversation with me realized I was in C co and said “oh your one of those Mountain boys huh?” I said yep and she just walked off. I thought it was funny. None of us in C co hold back on our feelings regarding women in the military. Thats probably why she walked away all disgusted like.

Anyways the whole thing made me chuckle a bit and since I had’nt chosen my callsign yet for my current job I went with Mountain boy.
MTNBOY is my vet vanity plate and my screenname on all the site I go to.
