Also even with tempo squats I clanked on the safety’s which doesn’t usually happen so it’s an indication that whatever is causing that is potentially getting worse

Pretty awesome squat session for being an off day IMO. A lot of volume and heavy tempo squats is not easy.

Start working on this asap before it gets worse!! Massage can be a help but unless you treat the cause symptoms will always come back.

I just have no idea what’s causing it, that’s whats most frustrating to me. I’ve seen dozens of chrio’s and massage therapists and no one has ever given me a single straight answer about why I feel so crooked all the time.

One of my hips used to look lower in the mirror, but it doesn’t seem that bad anymore.
I don’t think my shoulders sit in the same position, but I don’t know exactly how to take off one of my arms and put it on properly…

I see people, I ask for form advice, I stretch for 30 mins a day, and foam roll, and tennis ball myself and AHCK, I don’t know! *sob

That is tough. I think I have some minor imbalances caused from sleeping too much on 1 side. Also using too much my right hand or certain desks I sit at for work too long. Just giving ideas you have probably already thought of.

(Now I use a pillow fort on the couch, slightly more balanced hahaha)

I personally dont think chiro’s/masseuses are long term solutions because they fix symptoms not the causes.

I can’t tell you how much that gets on my wick. If it’s the stance that allows you to best utilize your levers then it’s not wrong. My deadlift is a combination of both; not conventional and not really sumo either but over the years I’ve massaged it enough such that’s it’s the strongest for me. Generally I find the people who tell you you’re doing it ‘wrong’ are people new to the sport with no real breadth of experience.

oh man had such an awesome family day yesterday (Canadian thing, Lol)

Went hiking with Lil’ G at Elk Island and then went out for dinner then watched Simpsons. Just soaked up each other’s company.
REally needed it cause on Sunday night when he came home from Daddy weekend he was really upset cause daddy was being meaner than normal.
Which is actually quite scary to hear because his father is already very mean so being meaner than that is baddd news.
He said daddy kept yelling at him and swearing at him for no reason etc.
“Jesus fucking Christ Gabriel” blah blah
and my kid is super sensitive, and especially when he’s actually doing nothing to get sworn at is very upsetting
So of course I feel enormous amounts of guilt induced anxiety, well because I “chose” his father. I mean if I got knocked up by any other person 10 yrs ago Gabe wouldn’t be gabe, but I always get asked things like “why is daddy the worst person in the world” “why is daddy so awful” “what on earth did you ever see in daddy”

I cant regret it, because you’re perfect, but it makes me feel so bad inside to hear stuff like that

This, IMO everybody should learn and be at least proficient at both Sumo and Conventional as a base to work from (and even these with “correct” form will have large variations in form). But when it comes time to work on Totals you do what ever form(s) maximizes that number.

And it was hard to tell from the angle but it sounds like the stance you were mimicking was Ed Coan’s sumo style…or sometimes called Squat Stance I think.

So ya took yesterday as a rest day cause ive been bad and not had one for like a month, plus stayed up super late on Tuesday night crying with my kid about his dad…fun times.

He wrote out this letter of all the stuff he wish he had the courage to say to him and uhg. As much stuff as he tells me, lots of this stuff in the letter I really had no idea. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Plus marshall knowing I’ve been really stressed about this and never checking in or barely talking to me anymore cause he’s “busy” also breaks my heart.
In my head im like okay well he used to bug me non stop for sex and he hasn’t really asked in like two weeks soOoO is he getting is somewhere else, and if so, why?
And I know he’s super busy, but I ask you guys as guys, if you work a 12hr + shift like 4pm to maybe even like 6am, if you cared about your lady would you at least text to say like goodnight beautiful so she doesn’t wonder if you still care?

I dunno…
Every time I bring up his neglect he makes me feel guilty cause he’s so busy working all night and taking care of a toddler all day and blah blah.

UH yea, honestly I never liked having to say good night because of my rituals but there are things you do because you aren’t single (I would send the message/phone call like an hour ealrier). And I would also be sending at least messages all day because that’s what couples do and what makes them couples.

About the sex, personally I go through streaks in either direction lasting 1-3 weeks…but relationships work much better with sex.

But the saddest most f**ed up thing is like I started cutting back on food because apparently my only method of coping with heartache is losing weight.
Honestly, every single cut I’ve ever gone though has been because of a man. That’s wrong on so many levels.
And right now its frustrating because usually before when I’ve cut I have actually felt like it, like I was ready for a break from pursuing strength, but right now I have no desire to do that.
So it’s like this huge bowl of mixed feelings where it’s like um k all I care about is squatting, but cutting back on food and having control over that area of my life lessens my anxiety in relation to marshall .
