What are a couple of items that you consider must haves from the grocery store? Right now for me I would say broccoli.
Damn right w/ the broccoli… and since the main protein sources are highly talked about I’ll skip those but here are some others:
Protein:Chicken, Beef, Milk, Protein Shakes
Carbs: Brown Rice, Whole Wheat Bread, Whole Wheat Couscous, Bannannas
here’s a few…
-quick, rolled, Scottish, steel-cut oatmeal
-rye sourdough bread…slices are thin, but heavy (I try to avoid wonder bread)
-egg whites in a box
-low-fat swiss cheese
-celery (eat w/ PB)
-fish (canned herring, sardines, salmon, etc)
-frozen fruit (blueberries, pineapple, etc)
frozen chopped spinach
yogurt plain and vanilla
whole wheat bread
extra lean ground beef
sure i’m forgetting a few minor things
I don’t think I have ever gone to the grocery store without buying milk and bananas.
Lately it’s been Chips Ahoy.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
That’s about it right now. Money’s at an all time low. If I could shop free willed, I’d at least include…
Veggies (or Biotest Superfood)
Various EFA oils

Lately it’s been whole wheat pasta with homemade meat sauce, quinoa, and mango chicken sausage.

Broccoli for me as well. Closely followed by eggs, milk and Brazil nuts.
When I run out of any of those, I start having nightmares.
Right now it’s mostly pasta, shrimp and salmon & 1.5 Litres bottles of Dasani . Other than that i vary up the fruits.
