I believe the whole post is supposed to be read as one complete thought, not really 4 areas.

i.e. “Don’t pursue. Imagine, become.”

Courage
Integrity
Perseverance
Industriousness

Careful with this one. Like anger and fear, a very powerful and wonderful thing, but it has to be used correctly. Checked when needed and let loose when appropriate, it is a truly time tested weapon of those that win at life. But when wielded inappropriately, the downfall of many a great man. [/quote]
Exactly, that’s why it’s so important. It’s demonized and nearly completely absent from much of today’s young men. They’ve been conditioned to believe it’s something evil, which as you wisely pointed out, it can be if used irresponsibly. However it is a pivotal male value, meant to be applied constructively. Aggression utilized in the appropriate manner becomes assertion and leadership.

I think you were thinking the same thing.

Important areas? I’d say the following general regions are pretty important:

prostate
colon
heart
lower respiratory tract

Couldn’t you just say “leadership” then?

Because leadership requires aggression; anyone who says otherwise is full of shit. Aggression doesn’t require leadership, and having aggression most certainly doesn’t mean you have leadership.

Food.
Training.
Sex.
Football.

Exactly. You can tell someone to have integrity, but what it is, and how to apply it to real life situations deserves years of study.

Love
Work
Fitness
Play

God
Wife
Children
Country

If you could pick four areas of life for a man to focus his time and attention towards that would benefit him the most, what would these four areas be?

A a young man in the pursuit of excellence, I would like to hear your opinions.
