I have no particular loyalty for cops either way, While I respect the job, and the honorable dignity it COULD carry, I too have witnessed more than a few downright stupid officers. Actually, the few people I know who became cops were always the ‘bad apples’ so to speak (read into that anyway you wan,… power trips etc…). I do agree that there is a lot more brainpower required to actually do the mental work required of say,… a detective (or have I been watching too much tv?!) than a traffic cop. It’s just sad that it’s a profession where everyone views you as either ‘good’ or ‘bad’ based on a few select experiences… I couldn’t do it.
