Westside for Skinny Bastards: Repetition Method for Lower Body

#1

I'm currently following the westside for skinny bastards template, which has a lower dynamic day that consists of jump training, unilateral work, and posterior chain work. Would it be a good idea to alternate the jump training with repetition work for the lower body, similar to how it's done for upper repetition day? The only reason I've considered this is because A) I'm not very big and the volume work could be helpful and B) it would allow more practice with basic barbell lifts. Opinions on the matter?

Edit: I am 30 years old and don't compete any sports, aside from trail running and obstacle course races about 3-4 times per year.
My goals are primarily to increase strength, especially deadlifts, squats, presses, and pull-ups, and secondarily to increase lean body mass slowly while putting on minimal fat. I do conditioning work regularly, which I will begin to include basic jumping.

What are your goals?

If you're an athlete then hell no, if you just want to look good then you probably can.

But either case, performance or aesthetics, jumping will contribute positively.
