Anybody know why the westside folks don’t really seem to advocate dips for tricep development?
could be the because they weigh 250 lbs.? also, they tend to favor other tricep exerices so dips wouldn’t be needed too often, though they can be used. there are plenty of other tricep pressing exercises that don’t stress the shoulder so dips are used sparingly or not at all.
from what i remember, they tried dips and didn’t get the results they wanted so they stopped doing them. but if it works for you, have at it.
They tried them for awhile, and have decided not include them on a regular basis. They are not against dips, they just feel there are other exercise more productive to a big bench.
