I think we have overcomplicated the whole weight training idea.
(1) Squat on MWF. 2 warmup sets. Then, 4 set x 10 reps. If you can do 4 sets of 10 with a weight, add more weight next time. Go home.
(2) Military press and row on TRSat. Same rep scheme. Go home.
(3) If want strength, do sets of 5.
(4) Eat a lot, no garbage.
(5) If you get bored, switch to deads, bench, so forth.
I’ve been training for 38 years. Most people would be better off if they followed a very simple program like the above.
Let the pros keep a food log and take extensive notes. For most, its a waste.
