Weight Lifting Program for a Beginner?

I just started lifting weights a few weeks ago and ive been using the german volume training or 10 set method. But im beginning to think I might be overtraining since i have never seriously lifted weights before.

If anyone could link me to an article that outlines a program a beginner could do without olympic lifts or other lifts that need alot of coaching I would really appreciate it.
