Weighing In for Comp?

Hey, i am 36 days out from my second full powerlifting meet!
right now i weigh 189lbs. i am competing in the 181lb class.
would you recomend i slowly cut down, or drop the weight in the last 2 weeks? i am thinking im going to slowly cut some carbs and can easily get down, i am about 16% bodyfat.
how do you guys going about weighing in for a meet?

This is a very good guide to help you lose some excess water. I would lose about 1/2 to 1 lb a week until then and then do this.
