I’m on my second read of CT’s Black Book of Training Secrets and would like to know if weekly training volume is a constant no matter what the goal? Example: Mixed fiber type, weekly training volume accourding to book is 100 reps per muscle group. Does this training volume stay the same (100 reps per muscle group per week)if one is training for strength?
The 80-100 reps rule is only used to illustrate a concept. Don’t take that as a guideline. It was only used to show how volume can be divided within a week of training. Different goals and different training level will deeply influence what could be considered adequate rep loading.[/quote]
Were do I go to find an appropriate starting point?
I just look for existing workouts, then decrease the volume by 20% for fast-twitch. 10x3 -> 8x3 It’s kind of a primitive method, but it’s worked rather well so far.
