Over a year ago I strained my left rotator cuff. I went to physical therapy for it and was doing minimal shoulder exercises for about 3 months. I slowly worked my way up to where I can again shoulder press heavier weight but I am having trouble stabilizing my shoulder. As I am pressing upward my left arm tends to fall backwards. I continue to do the shoulder exercises my physical therapist recommended but the problem persists. Is there anything I can do to keeps this from happening?
You really need to see an orthopedic surgeon. Get a diagnosis and and MRI. You may have torn your RC tendon and they dont heal by themselves.
