Weak People on T-Nation

I might be wearing my asshat by saying this but:

So I’ve been noticing some people in the past few months on T-Nation, I notice alot of things.

But one thing has surprised me.

Some people here are weak. Now, don’t jump all over that statement just yet.

1.) I’m not claiming to be the strongest man on this site; I’ll let Bauer claim that shit haha

2.) I know that a 135 bench for me isn’t the same for everyone else.

I know there are alot of people that ARE strong on here.

But it’s just sorta shocked me a bit to see people who post SO much and DO have some good things to contribute…I just thought
there would be more strong people on here.

I guess what I’m getting from this is that I know there are a small group of people on here that I will actually take advice from.

Other then that; this is just another pointless post I guess. I should probably be doing work right now huh?

Oh well.

ha! that asshat .gif is funny

I am not sure it has actually changes that much. There are other boards centered around competitors that clearly have more dedicated people on them. I think people are noticing how few really big/strong people there are lately because more are actually posting pictures of themselves.

Ten years ago, it wasn’t uncommon to see nearly everyone posting that they were 260lbs at 5% body fat. This was of course pure bullshit.

The ones who actually have the drive to take this to an extreme level are few. They always have been.

I just hate it when those who have achieved so little insist on acting like that doesn’t mean anything.

Experience is still king, not who you can quote.

In the grand scheme of things around here, I’m a weak SOB and that’s partly why I’m here. However I don’t really have much to contribute but I’m learning, I do have a something funny or smart assed to say now and then, gotta be worth something?

pull someones card

I’m weak but I’m a lot stronger than I was this time last year.

Cookie?

Is everyone going to try to justify their weakness now?

I have no excuses. I’ve been fucking around.

I’m glad someone else noticed this. Nothing could be more pathetic than an entire thread of people claiming they are all weak.

The people are what make this site what it is. It is apparently now very weak with limited mental capacity.

I have no excuses. I’ve been fucking around.

Gotta start somewhere man. I don’t think you should be knocking on the weak as much as the weak who aren’t doing anything to change their situation.

I am knocking on weak people who feel the need to tell everyone they are weak. No one cares. Get strong and then tell us about how you succeeded.

There doesn’t need to be any hand holding. Yes, we all started somewhere, but not once did I feel the need to exclaim how weak I was…until it was IN THE PAST.

This board seems FILLED with people who are the types who start threads like, "this is my before picture and I am using this as motivation. I don’t have an “after pic yet.”. It is FILLED with people who are weak and will be weak still talking about how they plan to get strong 5 years from now.

The lack of drive will keep most from reaching any of these goals. They will forever be, “stronger than I was but still weak”.

I guess the mods needed a less general subject for thsi thread.

It was orignally “people on T-Nation”

werid.

I don’t really care why other people are here. I’m a bit selfish and vain that I do most of the things I do just for me.

I lift and watch what I eat because I want to. s

I’m glad that people didn’t take this the wrong way (so far; though someone will undoubtably do such at some point).

I think that there are two main types of weak-er people on this site.

1.) people who spend ALL their time on the site an barely any time in an actual GYM

2.)people who come here TO GET STRONG and aren’t quite there yet.

people in the first column are the reason why i wrote this and they annoy me.

::squints::

BRock,

Please define “weak.”

Is this a numbers game, for example 1 rep maxes on lifts?

What’s strong for a 22 year old at 5’8" 240 lbs is probably much different from what’s strong for say a 38 year old at 6’2".

I think the bigger argument is that most people think they are more intense in the gym than they probably really are.

The key is to have goals and actively try to achieve them.

Some do and succeed. Some do and fail. Some simply never will…

It is funny to note that on many forums, including this one at times, just about everyone is 6’5, weighs nearly 300lbs of solid muscle, perfectly ripped, no fat, could be Mr Olympia, break all the records in power lifting and olympic lifting, but doesn’t want to show off, has the biggest dick on the site, is a mixed martial artist, and no body can kick his ass so much so that he also won’t join the UFC cause he would beat everyone up and that would be unfair, and of course all the women want him cause he’s just the best damn fucker that has ever lived.

but you meet the fool for real, he’d be about 5’8, 135lbs, and the most he ever lifted was his ass off the chair he sits at to type at his computer to go take a leak, before playing video games for the next 8 hours. while chugging down cans of pop and energy drinks.

as for me, im 5’6, 165lbs, my build isn’t near huge, nor will it ever be, but thats ok, i don’t let my lack of genetics keep me from trying to constantly improve. lot of people i know consider me strong, and i do disagree with them, cause i’ve seen and hung out with some incredibly strong guys and women. and being around people like that keep me motivated to get better.
