When I do backsquats I try to keep the weight on my heels. I feel a lot weaker when I do this… is that because I have weak hamstrings/glutes?
Probably, try strengthening you posterior chain with good mornings, glute ham raises, deadlifts and variations. If it’s a change in your form, you’ll get better and better with practice and it will be second nature. Box squats are great too to help teach proper squatting technique, just start them with light weight and aim for perfect form before upping the weight.
