Group discussion. One girl pipes up, “I don’t know if I should vote for Obama or Clinton. I don’t know if I should be more loyal to my race or my gender” I asked her if there were any issues either held and she supported that the other didn’t. “Fuck issues, I’m not worried about the issues”
When I picked up my OMG jaw, I asked her to listen to whichever she held more dearly, her racism or her sexism.
I think the majority of American’s vote on something other than the issues, hence the great popularity of Bill Clinton mostly because of his charisma; or they focus on one issue, and only one: Iraq, abortion…; which explains why we can’t seem to solve any of the real problems facing this country: dependance on foreign oil…

I applaud you sir, I most likely would have made some nasty racial slur and then told her to get in the kitchen and make me a sammich!
Great response! That’d be one that I wish I WOULD’VE said lying in bed that night. Quick thinking.
Racism and sexism is much more than it appears. You don’t need to wear a white hood to be a racist. It goes much deeper than that and most of the time the perpetrator is unaware of it.
Nope, she was rude in not taking an interest in the society in which she lives and basing her opinions on such “trivial” items as the sex and/or color of ones skin. I applaud you sir, for your tact and quick wit. Bravo.
that’s an awesome reply if you’re friends with her…otherwise, i doubt pasting her like that is going to help her understand why she should have interest in issues.

Not rude in my book, you just hit her between the eyes with the truth hammer.

The majority of Americans make very little use of their grey matter.

Exactly, because all intelligent people know you can’t vote for Obama because he’s a smoker…
She is my supervisor. Ice bath followed. I rather enjoyed it because she is always one to point out others racism and sexism. She is not in a position to fire me or even cause me any grief, so it is OK. We have a so-so relationship. She has a mouth like a drunken sailor, no offense to drunken sailors.
