Was reading another thread and rather than hijack it I’ll make my own. If you’re not really lifting that heavy, is it necessary to warm up muscles or do you only need to start using warmups after you get to a certain point? Let me give an example.
The last time I did deadlifts I did 145 for 8 sets of 10. I wasn’t planning on doing that many, but next workout when I raise the weight so I can bring down the reps, I figure I’ll add another 20 or so. Should I maybe be doing a warmup set of 135 then add the other 30 or do I not really need to focus on warmup sets till I’m pulling higher weight?
