What do you think is the optimal range of weekly “hard” sets (e.g. 8-9 RPE, maybe only fail on the last set of an exercise) spread out over 3-4 sessions in a 4-6 week specialization phase? And do you think it’s best to ramp up from the low end to the higher end of the weekly volume?
Curious of your thoughts/practices given the current research on volume limits (thinking of that Schoenfeld / Krieger volume study from 2018 I believe). The authors have stated that the volume limits from that research are likely best/only applied in specialization phases.
