Vitex Agnus Castus and Progesterone

i was doing some reading up on the Vitex agnus castus. i know some people take it as a Luteinizing-hormone secretagogue and for its supposed anti-progesterone and anti-prolactin abilites.
yet during my reading yahoo health had this to say under drug interations.
“- Vitex should not be taken with hormonal therapy, such as the oral contraceptive pill and hormone replacement therapy. It may interfere with the actions of these hormones by increasing the effects of progesterone and decreasing the effects of oestrogen”- yahoo health

and under its properties yahoo health said
“Shows a promotion of progesterone effects.”

so whats the deal? does vitex have pro or anti progesterone effects in males.

It was used in M wich was an anti-estrogen and I believe anti- progesterone pct type of item to be used in conjuction with TRIBEX wich would have been used preferrably after a cycle of good old MAG-10 (the real MAG-10).

It has a different effect on women,they have ovaries,you don’t. It is very effective for progesterone in men.

yeah they didnt make a distinction so i figured its effects were the same for both males and females. thansk for the help.

anyone have a link to some research on vitex’s effectiveness?
