doing good “train”
binged on baked beans tonight - the one meal a day kills me. but it is all right.
the workouts are good and i feel lighter
i am not weighing myself until the 30 day mark and then i will reevaluate. i have a huge “deal”, phobia - self esteem issue - revulsion - you name it when it comes to the scale. i lost 60 or so lbs once and i never looked at a scale…my belt, my pants and how i felt was enough.
in any event.
weight and how i look at 51 is a pretty sensitive deal for me…
and i am a guy who has seen a lot of life - but this part is hard for me.

one thing with the v diet though - i was addicted to carbs! holy shit. after i am done and reevaluate i am sticking with a keto diet or even paleo kind of thing or a carnivore deal - either way, raw and steamed vegetables and berries etc and good meats, satisfy me - that is fer sure!

Also. The intermittent fasting is really good for me.
The hunger is the hardest part. Not just the hunger “pangs” so to speak but the emotions behind it. I do not have a lot of leisure time or “liver king” time!! lol etc. I have a 10 year old boy, family responsibilities, fulltime job etc. I am stating it because eating chills me out etc.
Also helps my mood. I have been in recovery for 8 years now and we have an acronym called - HALT. it stands for hungry, angry, lonley, tired. If those 4 needs are not met by certain people; there are some problems.

day 13 v diet
i did not get a chance to log the past couple of days. sorry about that - way too busy
i lost 11lbs in 13 days on the v diet so far. pretty psyched
for me when i stood on the scale, i told myself do or die here. i actually thought i lost more - but 10 pounds or so felt good to lose.
so - i am re energized - especially after a couple of days eating a little bit more than i should of…
that one meal a day - whew - tough.
really do not know how you guys had only a meal a week - i cant do it - especially with a kid and the amount of shit i do…
in any event - thank you for the support and i will keep on keeping on.

I’m hating the weighing and pictures stuff myself; hate being photographed all. The. Time. Photographing myself half nekkid at my worst physical shape since 2003 after my first kid… like death. Did it anyway. Trying to trust the process. We can hate it together, lol.
It’s allright. You don’t really have to do that in my opinion. Weight and eating are tough psychological topics. You should do the diet but March to your own drummer when it comes to the other stuff. Pressure sometimes has the opposite effect etc. Like tough love etc. We were all formed in different ways.

Going to get a little more serious about the diet moving forward.

day 20 v diet
i am doing pretty well. not going to weigh myself again until june 12th.
boy i wish i was not “sciatic”! good workouts would of helped me out immensely on this diet…no doubt. a shame but a fact of life that i can’t workout as intense as i would like…i am still practicing with my kettle-bells, hitting the punching bag and walking and some dumbbell work - but being sciatic really, really, cuts down on the intensity.
i like the diet - i think i am going to take this 1 meal a day and quasi intermittent fast into next month as well.

Day 22 v diet.
Doing well.
25 minutes of ez strength with KB’s and dumbbells this morning.
Started out with mobility and stretching
Loaded carry’s
Suitcase carry’s
Goblin curls
Goblet squats.
Alternating dumbbell curls.
Half kneeling shoulder presses.
It is what i can do right now.

As someone who also just took their before pictures, I will admit I took about 15 of each, thinking it must be something with how I’m taking the picture and it can’t be that I look THAT much worse than I think I do…
