Vegetarian Question

I’ve been a vegetarian for 7 years now and I rarely drink milk. I wanted to try to add more meat to my diet, but I was wondering if that would have any negAtive effects. I heard after being a vegetarian many years when people try to add meat to their diet they get really sick.

When you eat a “new” food your body may need certain enzymes to digest it. The enzymes sometimes come from the very food you are trying to eat. The “new” food will not be digested very well at first. In general, after you eat the food regularly you will have no trouble digesting it.

I suggest you try only a very small amount and see what happens. Very slowly ramp up on the amount you eat. Go slow…
