My friend is planning to start the v-diet within the next months. He has everything covered except 1 part, peanut butter. He is allergic to it and any other nuts. Is there any recommended substitute for it? thanks
as far as i know, you don’t NEED the PB, it just makes it easier for a lot of people, have a nice scoop of PB every night.
Peanuts aren’t even nuts. So are you sure he’s allergic to nuts? He may just be allergic to peanuts…
I am allergic to peanuts and all tree nuts. Sucks! I can eat various seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, pine “nuts”, and others. Would it be better to grind any of these down intoa spread or just skip that part all together?
I used 2 eggs. I wrote about it in another thread - I think 2 eggs is actually a better choice than 1 tbsp of peanut butter. Better fat profile, better amino profile, it’s better in every way.

I also have been using eggs. I alternate 1 day almond/peanut butter next day 2-3 hardboiled eggs.
You can always try sunbutter. It’s made from sunflower seeds, and it is fantastic.
1 tablespoon Natural Crunch Sunbutter, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 scoop Chocolate Metabolic Drive, 1 tablespoon of ground flax = great!

Amen. I’ll throw pistachios in there as well.
