I’ve decided to incorporate trap bar deadlifts into my program. Can they be used as a stand alone movement to replace conventional deadlifts if you don’t compete? (Is there any chance of creating muscle imbalances). Also, can anyone recommend a good trap bar manufacturer? I want this to be a one time purchase. thanks
Hmmm… I find the trap-bar to make the Deadlift much more of a leg exercise than an overall back exercise. Because your hands are at your sides rather than in front of you, I always feel more pressure for my legs to do the work than my lower back like conventional deads.
Good exercise. Would they cause an imbalance? Maybe if your routine has no PC exercises.
