US Headed Down Same Road as Japan?

So will we follow the Japanese and essentially “lose” a decade because of failed economic policies? Or is there a better solution out there?

There’s always a better solution, but the politicians can’t bring themselves to enact those solutions. For example, instead of bailing out companies, they could bail out consumers and have the consumers pay off their debts, thereby getting money into the banks through the front door, not the back. Eliminate debt and support the banks at the same time. Also, let’s slash the federal budget. Neither of these are politically feasible, yet they would shave years off the recovery. Neither will happen.

No… more like Argentina.

x2

In the long run Japan is going to better off than us because their economy is based on sound economic policy. Hell, our money isn’t even backed up by anything.

It doesn’t have to be. The U.S. has the most efficient printing presses in the world.

Exactly, all they have to do is print up more money and everything will better right? Maybe I can get that PS3, and Plasma TV once they start running the presses.
