Upright Rows and Injury

Hi all,

I’ve read how potentially injurious upright rows are. However, is a version like this as dangerous?

I know it’ll hurt me because all upright rowing kills my shoulders. Try it for yourself and see how you feel.

Regular upright rows kill my shoulders, especially the right one, but using dumbbells or a double cable handle consisting of 2 12 in. chains with a single on the end of each is Ok if I’m careful so I would imagine these would be alright for me as well. Kinda like a later row.

Like Doug said try em light and see how it goes.
