What’s an optimal ratio between squat max and bench max. For example my max bench is 285, what would be considered a decent squat max? My max squat is only 325 which is pretty close to my max bench.

DL 3.03 x BW
bench 1.82 X BW
Considering the classic threshold benchmark for an “advanced” lifter is a 300 bench, 400 squat, and 500 deadlift, you aren’t too far off. This is just a guideline though, your mileage may vary.
There is no optimal ratio between squat and bench.
Some are stronger at one than the other.
I agree with iamnobody and bino for “decent” main lifts. Try always to add weight to Squat,Bench press, Deadlift. Prioritize the Squat in your first training day.
