Unusual Cycle of Anavar

#1

I have spent the past couple of weeks perusing this forum as well as others online concerning my issue. Because, there was nothing conclusive specific to my goals, I decided to start a thread.

My question is: what are people's thoughts concerning a long cycle of low-dose Anavar?
I weigh about 91kg (200lbs): My proposed cycle 10mg 2x a day for 3 months (perhaps 6).

I realize that this is a bad cycle for muscle gain or fat-loss, or really any of the typical goals for posters on this board. The chief goal in this cycle; however, is not muscle gain, but instead height increase.

There are numerous articles on pubmed about anavar use and its effect on increased height. Particular of note is this one: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3412530/
With the dose of .1mg per kg 2x per day the subjects experienced an up to 40% change in height percentile in the first year of use. Note that the subjects were between the ages of 5 and 18.

From my understanding, Anavar was used because it does not aromatise to Estrogen.
In this proposed cycle of mine, I would follow up with 3 weeks of nolvadex at 40mg a day (in order to restore normal Testosterone levels).

In my next post I will explain a little of my background--I didn't want to daunt people with more text in this post...

Background:

Age 23
Weight: 91kg (200lbs), height 1.82cm (6foot even) fairly lean, have vascular shoulders and quads have clearly defined abs in all lighting
Lifts: Bench 100kgx10, High Bar Olympic Squat: 160kgx3, Power Clean 130kg, Deadlift 200kgx3

I played a professional sport with a high endurance component for 6 years (as well as my entire youth). I stopped about 2 months ago and since then my lifts have been skyrocketing (I've added 5kg to my squat and deadlift every week, with no signs of a plateau).

Although I realize I am not strong in a weight room sense, I am extremely strong in a functional sense. I ran the 40 in under 4.5 and had a standing vertical jump of 38 inches all while being able to run 5k in 18mins (I did the vert and the 5k on the same day in testing, actually).

My training while competing was based on my readings of Charlie Francis and James Smith. It was, in short, high and low intensity days alternating with the low intensity days consisting of endurance based "tempo runs" and higher-rep upperbody work.

I understand that I will be urged to postpone PED use because of my immature Endocrine system. Unfortunately, it is a catch-22 of sorts. When my endocrine system "settles down", my epiphyseal plates will also close, negating the growth benefits of Anavar

I assume you wrote this based on the fact that I have a young age as well as a relatively young training age. However, I acknowledged this concern in my initial post.

Here is what I wrote: "I understand that I will be urged to postpone PED use because of my immature Endocrine system. Unfortunately, it is a catch-22 of sorts. When my endocrine system "settles down", my epiphyseal plates will also close, negating the growth benefits of Anavar"

With regards to this issue: would the extremely low dose still be cause for concern? Other thoughts?

^yes, not the same age range but wasn't Anavar originally developed for such purposes medically before being adapted by athletes?

This would not be the first time someone used a PED for a purpose slightly different than what was originally intended, no?

Thanks, I hadn't seen those studies. Particularly of interest is the fact that they did not do PCT. There muscle gains went away as well, but I assume that was because they were not training.

#7

Not entirely true, given time drug related gains will dissipate.

At 23 I will be shocked if you can do anything to increase your height. The only positive thing I can say about your cycle is it shouldn't cause any real damage. Since I assume you don't have a vagina your desire for a chick's cycle is kinda odd.

dang it, i posted a bunch of links, which apparently violated some policy here again....

anyway, do a search on Anavr, and there's a surprising amount of research available on it....

He's not saying you're too young. He's saying your too old.

Yes, I read too hastily and misinterpreted his post. tried to delete my post but failed somehow.

It looks like Clomid or Nolvadex would be bad ideas post-cycle. Even though they inhibit estrogen they actually cause Growth plate closure as well.

6 months of anavar at 15 years old will make your endocrine system all fucked up. everything thats bad for you is 1000x worse when you are a baby
