Iām such a poser strongman fan lol.
I only avidly follow the events where all the ābestā guys are competing (i.e. including Licis, plus TS and Novikov). So in other words the Rogue Invitational was the only event I followed super closely in the past couple of years LOL.
Impressive that Magnusā stature is such that Rogue is streaming what is, honestly, a āminorā strongman show relatively speaking.

I met Magnus, Svend Karlsson and Magnus Samuelsson a few years back, i worked in the grounds of the Belfast city hall where the UKs strongest man was partially being held. I worked on the Belfast eye (big wheel), all the guys when on it, several had to get off cause they didnt like heights lol. Batista the wrestler was another celeb i met, crap paid job but it had its perks.
I donāt think it will stay minor. Itās a brutal contest so far. And the third-place finisher of the 2021 WSM is competing in it, Max Boudreault along with Aethor Ingolfsson-Melstead.

Met Batista once when he came to Olongapo in the Philippines. Being Greek/Filipino heās very popular over there.
I finished two sets of Cybex Machine squats and 3 sets of skull crushers while this guy was on his phone.
Why does he come to the gym? You can do that shit at home.

Totally random thought -I think Shaw was (secretly?) pissed that Arnold didnāt intervene to give him a special invite to the Classic. In my gossipy opinion, Shaw wouldāve never done the āIām done with Arnoldā video otherwise, over politics of all things.
Shaw is a man of principle.
Also, I think he now has competing business interests
Some of the athletes would benefit by hanging out with some Highland competitors on the weight over bar. There is a way to get your legs into it.

Triples were pretty fast. My low back was feeling tweaky, so I didnāt go higher. I donāt like these. They are uncomfortable and I suck at them. So Iāll keep doing them. Iāll stick with triples and reduce sets as I raise weight.
