Unsweetened Chocolate (100% Cacao)

you guys should try the raw cacao nibs. they are excellent and obviously have 100% cocoa content. you can mix them in with yogurt, protein shakes, peanut butter, etc.

i have actually read that cocoa has the highest ORAC score of any tested food or beverage… including green tea and the overhyped/priced acai (monavie) berry.

They look to be a good source of many minerals if what nutritiondata.com has provided is accurate. I’ve heard good things about the phytonutrients and flavonoids too (theobromine in particular).

When I was triathlon training over the summer I would add unsweetened cocoa powder (dark) to shakes daily.
Kinda fell out of the habit, but it was a good one I believe.

Yes, but is that cacao powder Dutch processed/alkalized?

If not, then that does sound badass.

this is what I use

I’ve seen cacao and cocoa used interchangibly a bunch through this thread…isn’t there a difference?

I had some 100% cacao yesterday in bar form…wow that’s some bitter shit.

I have a can at home, doesn’t list any thing as dutch processed or alkalized.
