Unique Situation, Not Training

I think I have a pretty unique situation here- I'm a minor league hockey player that has had a history of head injuries... long story short I've been shutdown indefinitely. I'm not in the best shape at the moment due to limited training time, that being said I do not want to lose any more muscle mass in my time off.

I want to maintain my weight (if possible) while not training for a few months, would steroids (or any other performance enhancing drug) help me out? I've already lost close to 10lbs since August and not looking forward to digging myself a huge hole fitness wise. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Stats/Background:

5'10
175 (was 185 before first concussion this season)
11% bodyfat (was 8% before first concussion this season)
power and explosion training for 10+ years
