Aqua: I did it for around 10 cycles, so quite along time:)
Ok, during the weekend I did a considerable amount of cardio. Mountainhiked on saturday and was out walking for 4-5 hours. On sunday I did some hard tempo training.

Was shot after this. Good session altogether despite missing 2 reps on the Military press. Ill keep the weight the same next time i do 5x5 on MP and if I dont get all the reps then I will have to deload.
Did some cardio today. 14.49 minutes up my standard mountain. Was brutally heavy. Legs and lower back were killing me, and heartrate was sky high.
This is one drawback im noticing more and more on this program. Conditioning work is alot harder as Im squatting 3 times a week, and loading my lumbar region every time Im in the gym. We shall see what happends.

The amount of work youre doing plus the conditioning is insane man! Keep killing it!
Thanks buddy:) appreciate the support. Always felt like Ive had to work harder than most people to see improvements. I’ll definetely keep pushing!
If you dont have that attitude you will never see improvements! You are a living testament to that
AquaCruzer wrote:
No wonder you do all that conditioning. You have some awesome scenery to do it in.
This is definetely true. Had I been confined to the treadmill or running on pavement I prolly wouldnt be near as consistent with my conditioning as I am now. Being outside in mother nature trumphs everything for sure.
Here is todays session which was ok given the circumstances(just stressed out, generally tired) Squats went well, MP straight to hell.
85kgx4 very dissappointing. Was pretty sure I would get 5 reps here today.
Barbell rows:
60kgx10
80kgx5
100kgx12
100kgx9
100kgx8
80kgx12
Dips:

42.5kgx9
42.5kgx7
Hanging leg raises:
bwx19
bwx15
bwx12
bwx10
bwx9
Well, that was it. Alittle worried about the Military press. Just have to try to redeem myself next time. On top of that my left elbow was killing me today. Ive been having trouble with it before, but its just recently its been starting to flare up again. I think I might have to cut the assistance work alittle next week.
Todays session. Really worried about my elbow. On top of that my right knee and lower back is also killing me atm. looks like my body is letting me down LOL.
Squats:
20kgx20
60kgx10
100kgx5
120kgx3
140kgx3
165kgx4
165kgx4
165kgx4
165kgx4 5x5 was not happening today, so decided to cut down the volume a fair bit by doing 4x4 instead. I dont really know how deloads are set up on the texas method, but apparently one is supposed to tweak things in order to keep adding weight to the bar.
Bench press:
20kgx15
40kgx8
60kgx5
80kgx3
90kgx2
105kgx5
105kgx5
105kgx5
105kgx5
105kgx5 this was brutal today, my elbow was killing me from the first rep, especially the negative portion of the reps was very painful and it definetely killed my performance. Reps were slow and shaky, but managed to push through. Probably not very clever but oh well.
Deadlifts:
60kgx10
100kgx8
140kgx5
170kgx3
190kgx3
210kgx4 only highlight of the day for me.
Incline db press:
20kg’sx10
27.5kg’sx5
40kg’sx14
40kg’sx8
40kg’sx6
Kayak rows:
20kgx10
30kgx12
30kgx12
30kgx10
30kgx8
30kgx6
Hanging leg raises:
bwx15
bwx15
bwx12
bwx10
bwx8
That was it. Really hope my elbow doesent fail me now.
Looks like a pretty good session man. I feel your pain about the elbow. Maybe try warming up a bit more for pressing, as well as something to keep your elbows warm. I’ve worn a long sleeve shirt and it sorta helped.

Thanks for the advice man. During yesterdays session my elbow was feeling quite abit better. I always wear a sweater or a long sleeve shirt while training so that is taken care of. You may be right about not warming up enough for the volume pressing.
7/9/2011 Recovery workout:
Squat:
20x20
60kgx10
90kgx5
110kgx3
130kgx4
130kgx4
Military press:
20kgx15
40kgx8
50kgx5
60kgx3
72.5kgx5
72.5kgx5
72.5kgx5 elbow was fine. Real happy.
That was it. Decided to cut the assistance to some ab work as I was running out of time and to spare my elbow.
8/9/2011 Conditioning:
Ran/ walked fast up my standard 287 m mountain, only this time I chose a different route, going through some marshland. Was damn heavy running through it. But clocked in at 20.41 which Im very pleased with. Heartrate was 172 bpm and I was breathing like a madman when I got up, so definetely a solid session.
