Trying to Eat Better

I have a pretty lousy diet. But I’m trying it make it better. It has suffered for a lack of planning. That’s why I’m here. I’ve come from the raw food movement. That just wasn’t workable for me, and probably a big cause of not being able to avoid junk. But the idea of raw foods makes sense for many foods. I still plan on eating raw foods as much as possible.

My goal at this time, physique wise is to basically get a little leaner. I’m not working out too heavily. Upperbody I’m just doing pushups and training for quality pullups. Lowerbody I’m going to PT for knee problems, which is why I’m taking it pretty easy right now. Basically I want to get enough nutrition to slightly improve my physique. But the most important thing is getting enough good raw materials to take the best care of my knees.

Breakfast
1 Banana
6-8 Strawberries, or equivalent berries
2-4 oz Spinach, or equivalent greens or combination of greens
1 Scoop Whey Protein
1 Egg Yolk
All the above blended

Lunch
1 Cup Rolled Oats
2 TBSP Flax Seeds, Ground

Snack/Pre-Workout Shake
1 Banana
6-8 Strawberries, or equivalent berries
2-4 oz Spinach, or equivalent greens or combination of greens
1 Scoop Whey Protein
1 Egg Yolk
All the above blended

Dinner
Steamed Veggies with 2 TBSP Olive Oil
Example: 1 Crown Broccoli, 3 Carrots, 1 Medium Onion or
1 Bunch of Kale or Collards

I also supplement, or will supplement the following:
1 TBSP Green Powder
1 TBSP Spirulina
8 grams (2 tsp) MSM
6-9 Double Strength Fish Oil Caps

I also want to incorporate some Kelp and Dulse(seaweeds) that I can buy in bulk.

I know that’s not enough food yet. I’m still working on it.

Looking for assistance in adding more high quality food to this. I’m not a big meat eater.

T-Dawg 2.0 should be sufficient… just do a search & all will be revelaed.

Your lunch is just carbs and fiber; where’s the protien?

each meal should have protien, and either fats or carbs.

fruits/veggies at more meals

and yes; add more. alot more.

food makes you grow

“you can’t flex bone”

good luck!

I did say it was just a start.

And oats actually have a good amount of protein. 1 Cup(dry) of rolled oats has 14 grams of protein. Plus the flax with 4 comes out to 18. I still need to add more to that meal, just saying that what I do have there has a significant amount of protein.

18 grams of protein fall onto the floor every time I eat. EAT MORE.

your body is not going to absorb 14 grams of protein from oats, add some eggs

Or protein powder… Put it in the freezer for a half hour. Delicious…
