Hi there, I consider myself a beginner and I have been doing the 5x5 for a while. But it seems I have come to a point where I cannot get anything going heavier. So I have started eating a lot more (I was eating below maintenance calories because I wanted to loose BF%, so of course I would stagger but I really did not think it would happen so soon).
Currently my workout-lifts are:
Squat: 75 Kg
Front squat: 55 Kg
OHP: 40 Kg
Deadlift: 95 Kg
Bench Press: 72,5 Kg
I have no Max lifts to brag about because I have never tried it (I reckon this is the part where I get called an idiot). I have also lost quite abit of weight since i started working out dropped from 93Kg to 77Kg in just about 4-5 months, but I have worked myself up to 80-82Kg again.
I am trying to bulk with eating a lot. A lot of bread with mackarel, cheese, ham, oats with milk and jelly, Whey protein shakes, some greens with tuna and eggs etc. I tend to just look at calories and get it above 4000ish (i weigh 80Kg at 176cm).
I eat the occasional snack like a bag of chips (im a binger >.>) and some diet sodas but this is on the weekends. My question is; Will it work?
I mean, can i just "eat" and grow? Or do i have to count and count again and again? Carefully mixing just the right stuff into what i eat? Because that kind of lifestyle does not seem very attractive.
I have been doing this for almost two weeks now, and i havent moved an inch on the scale. I am still 80Kg, but i feel more "wobbly". I feel like i have alot of water around, could this be fat? or could it be water?
Mighty thanks in advance for an answer. Should i continue? or should i get a grip and start counting?
And yeah, i know my squats are shitty. Shitty technique + a left hip/glute problem = shitty lift.
(man thats alot of "I"'s)
