Trump: The First 100 Days

Yes, removing regulations does help average Joe. It doesn’t lower taxes, it lowers costs of production and subsequently the price of goods.

That was all good when it was the ugly dumb people that no one likes, but now it is affecting the next steps up the ladder- engineering, business management, etc. and becoming a Real Problem.

You probably know that though, so jus sayin bro.

Very well said!

I thought this was America. Lower production costs= Greater Executive bonuses.

Not necessarily. If deregulation has the effect of worsening environmental conditions (eg, increasing pollution), making the workplace less safe, making products less reliable/more dangerous, etc, then the net effect on the average Joe might well be a hindrance, not a help.

From your link: " Pius XII famously wrote at the time that “no one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a true socialist”". I imagine the wrangling comes in defining “true” socialist versus some other socialist. (I also have to acknowledge that the Pope doesn’t speak for all Christians)

Still dont care…capitalism is like the animal kingdom… You grow, adapt, or die… Outsourcing is part life now. The only way not to be replaced by a robot or cheaper labor is tobecome invaluable… Or be your own boss and not a worker bee
Same goes for mgmt, engineers etc… Even harder now due to high quality candidates in poorer countries where conglomerations move to. The people there want it more. Thats the simplicity of capitalism. Where can I make \ how can I make the most proffits with the least amount of cost. Dolla dolla bills yall💰

Which in turn allows corps to invest in new projects and hire more people.

You know Tyler I think once they get elected they just get the feeling that people are out to get them and then they start getting really secretive…darn those guys! Ha

Those links are all from his second term, with the exception of that bastion of journalism, ihatethemedia.com. We’re at, what, day 93 here and he’s essentially closed off the WH and violated one (of many) campaign promises. Keep up your mental gymnastics, Zeb, you’re getting really limber!

Oh Tyler relax…Obama was secretive from the very beginning. How many US Presidents had their College grades sealed?

So, Trump was faster than Obama at keeping people out and being secretive. What does that mean?

Grrr…>I hate Trump LOL

You’re going to go with report cards when Trump hasn’t even released his taxes? LOL, ok. I remember a time when Obama wearing a tan suit was a scandal of epic proportions.

What in the world would make you think that I am defending Donald Trump? Simply because I posted evidence that Obama too was secretive? My point is they are all quirky and unpredictable. I can give you a list of promises that Trump said he’d do in his first 100 days and he didn’t do them. Then again I can give you a list of things Obama said he’d do as President and he didn’t do them.

Big Deal…

Take a freaking breath Tyler.

I know you hate Trump…I get it. You were even foolish enough to bet me that he’d resign or be impeached. That shows how much hate you have for him…cool that’s politics.

But…don’t let it eat you up my friend because Trump is not feeling one bit of that hate you have for him. You are feeling it all!

Oh my…

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TYLER?

Ha ha…and the game continues…

My issue, Zeb, is that all of this seems to have been normalized. You think this is simply a “game”, politics as usual. It’s not. There typically is a lot of gamesmanship in politics, and if Romney or McCain were sitting in the Oval Office right now, I imagine that’s what we’d be seeing.

The outrage from those who oppose Trump is not simply due to their “side” losing. It’s the blatant nepotism, scattershot diplomacy and near-daily emoluments violations, just to name a few. You should be outraged too. But you’re not… because your side won.

Tyler, how outraged were you about Benghazi?

How outraged were you when Lois Lerner took the 5th (most likely to protect Obama) because the IRS was harassing conservative groups?

How outraged were you when it was found that a FOX news reporter had his phone tapped by the Obama White House?

How outraged were you when billions were lost gambling on companies like Solar Trust and Solyndra?

How outraged were you when Obama refused to enforce federal immigration laws?

How outraged were you over Fast & Furious Attorney General Eric Holder’s illegal gun-running scheme?

And there was plenty more…but you were not outraged. Why not? Because YOUR SIDE WON!

We are both partisan but at least I can see it for what it is…A GAME!

I’m out, Zeb. I’ve had more productive conversations with my cat.

The game, as it were, is your predictable attempt to deconstruct any criticism of Trump the President by retorting with the red herring that “hey, you know who’s awful? Obama!” (same as you did for Trump the candidate with “Hillary!”).

A completely serious question - why is it so hard to simply say “man, that really was a bad or unprincipled move on the part of [Republican being discussed]?” Why is it impossible for you?
