Trump Fires Comey, Cites Clinton Missteps

So did Duterte - from a joke to a president of a county of 100 million people. Is he also The Master?

Wouldn’t put his success up there with Trump, despite him becoming president. Trump has become leader of a much larger country despite having most of the media against him.

Rule number 1 of the Sith, one master only at once. I’d put him at Proficient on the scale of 4D Chess, not quite up there with Trump yet.

I’m not condoning either of there actions just saying how good they are at 4D Chess.

Duterte wasn’t as much of a political joke as Trump was, but they’re both polarizing figures.

Anyway, Trump is not a master of anything other than manipulating GOP supporters by utilizing confirmation bias.

I’m not buying that. The majority of the things he has done including all the blunders so far have resulted in having more support and resulted in him winning. Especially with this Comey firing it shows his expertise at 4D Chess. Tactical genius while on the surface a baffoon.

It does not take a genius to manipulate the majority of his support base. Did liberals and the media not give him enough credit for that? Yes. Is he a genius for taking advantage of that? No. This Comey firing is far from tactical genius.

I’m assuming you’re joking. Trump is more like a vulgar version of the character Chance in Being There.

Becoming a Leader of a country does require a certain level of political maneuvering and planning out the future to win. Every leader of a country who ran against decent opposition must be good at 4D chess. The fact that Trump has managed to go from a Joke of a nominee and continue to take wins along the way to become leader of the free world to me shows his mastery of 4D chess.

You can disagree that everything was a big coincidence of a series of unfortunate events but he must be doing something right having this much success.

Let’s see what that bastion of the extreme left (sarcasm) has to say about his.

But the fact that Trump lost one of his favorite and most loyal and important aides three weeks into his administration puts the lie to the idea that the Mastermind has everything well under control. Unless you believe that every negative story is “fake news” — even when heavily sourced, often on the record, from members of his own team — this has been obvious for a very long time. Trump campaigned saying the establishment was full of idiots and that everything would be incredibly easy. He is now coming to grips with the fact that he was simply wrong

Not saying that everything that has ever happened around him was planned as he can’t control others free will, but most of his blunders have resulted in more success for him.

He setting the democraps up to look like complete idiots for the 2018 midterms.

No offense intended, but this is flatly absurd. As for his campaign, that’s been covered at length, but Trump was simply a surfer on a populist, anti-Democrat wave that had been building since 2009, and he drew one of the most flawed candidates in modern history.

And since he’s been in office, it’s been nothing but a series of missteps and exasperating both the people that work with him and his supporters.

This idea that Trump is the master 4D chessman is foolish projection, nothing more.

Actually he’s accomplishing some pretty good things, for Democrats.

He fired the guy that cost Hillary the election (for the stated purpose the democrats were so mad about) and left a Democrat in charge of the FBI for now. With that move he basically killed any hope of the Clinton foundation or Hillary being brought up on charges. He gave Hillary cover.

Mandatory pre existing coverage (when passed).

The latest funding bill was praised by Schumer and Pelosi for crying out loud. They won it.

Limbaugh laughing about how Trump took the Democrats argument about Comey throwing the election for Clinton and used it to fire him. Calls it an Epic Troll.

Trump’s approval ratings are tanking, as are those of the entire GOP.

Aha, but he did get into the White house through 4D chess. He has cocked about since getting in however which suggests he needs some stiff competition to get back to his once mastery levels.

Who would be the master of it do you reckon? Maybe Putin? Merkel?

Had to google what this 4D chess was about, and it comes straight from /r/The_Donald subreddit, the cesspool of Trump supporter nonsense. I’m not sure if those are the talking points you want to be arguing, but it is your argument to make.

We discussed, ad nauseam, the specifics of Trump’s win. Instead of going back there, we can discuss the current state of his presidency, which shows a buffoon stumbling his way around. Not a master. Pick the flub you want (off the top of my head…healthcare, travel ban, Flynn, his former aids Stone and Manafort regarding Russia, Comey firing, and lying about Obama wire tapping…etc.), he is showing that he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

No, he didn’t - he got into the White House because of a crowded yet subpar nominee field (many of whom wouldn’t drop out for selfish reasons, so blocs of voters didn’t get their normal chance to coalesce around other mainstream nominees), historical trends (it’s very hard for a party to win a third consecutive term), low general voter turnout, an historically bad opponent uniquely unsuited to the times, and a general anti-Democrat wave building since 2009.

That’s all luck on his part, not strategy. To say he’s some master strategist who moved all these pieces around to secure victory is nonsense, absolute nonsense.

It’s more accurate to say Trump won despite his actions, not because of tthem.

No, it just confirms his impulsiveness.

Now it’s hard to take anything you say on this particular subject seriously. Trump should want this issue with Russia to die a quiet death and be a footnote in the news cycle months from now. So what does he do? He injects the situation with adrenaline then lights everything on fire - and it’s messaging is so bad the press secretary is hiding in the bushes to avoid have to explain the decision.

Get serious.

Perhaps the extreme non-linear way that it has been done makes it appear that he was stumbling around when in reality he knew what he was doing. To become a billionaire and stay one takes a certain level of intelligence despite his outward appearance. [quote=“Tyler23, post:37, topic:229515”]

Maybe it was done to expose the fact that no dealings to take place and get attention to how much of an honest win Trump received. Very Non-linear.
I cannot fathom the inner workings of a geniuses brain.

Starting to think you’re just trolling now.
