So, while this may be old hat to many of you, I just learned that TRT can increase snoring. I’ve been on TRT for just about 9 weeks or so (with fabulous results) and recently my wife has been seriously complaining about my night time wood cutting.
What causes this to happen?
no idea, but I have had similar problems.
Not sure how TRT impacts it but if your wife notices you gasping for air or stopping breathing, get a sleep study done. Could be apnea which can be lethal. Simple to treat with CPAP. I have it and it is a life saver. My $.02.
TRT can aggravate sleep apnea by down regulating thyroid function.
