TRT - Going Backwards Still have ED, No libido - New Bloods Are In

Ok,

So my liquid Adex has arrived, I have taken 1mg 2 days ago.

Compared to the start of my TRT journey where I was horny as a rabbit. Im no longer getting morning wood, nocturnal erections and takes a bit of work to get an erection. I’m expecting this is due to the E2.?

However, my protocol moving forward will be.

My per week protocol

Monday - 125mg T
- .5mg Adex
Thurday - .5mg Adex

@KSman @verne What are your thoughts?

Bump

Time and a blood test will tell. While testosterone levels change rather fast, when you change your protocol, E2 is slower to change. Adex keeps your body from converting too much E2 from your testosterone, it has no effect on what is already there. Your levels will drop over time. You should be seeing a change about now. And you will need a blood test to see if your dosages are correct or need adjustment. That is more Adex than I would need with that dose of T, but then for me that is not enough T. Our bodies do not react exactly they same, dosages do need to be individually ajusted

So @verne, bloods are in, I’m left very confused as the bloods say I should be a raging bull. But its the complete opposite, still needing Viagra to get hard. What happened to the feeling I got the first few weeks of TRT?

Androgens

Testosterone - 54 nom/L (10.0-33.0)
Free Testosterone - 1824 pmol/L (150-700)
SHBG - 23 nmol/L (13-71)

E2 - 96 pmol/L

@tj1988 It’s safe to say the research chemical ( Adex ) is working. I have been talking .5mg EOD

PBS wouldn’t help. It caps the cost of a medicine to $38, which is more than you’re paying.

Incidentally, Chemist Warehouse is a few dollars cheaper to fill your prescription.

I’ve been injecting 250 mg / fortnight, and having the same second week slump. I’m about to shift to 125 mg / week. How’ve you found that protocol in comparison?

I’m finding the weekly injections to remove the slump however, I’m still experiencing ED and Libido issues. Still needing Viagra. :frowning:

Thanks @xevox. I’m starting on weekly injections tomorrow, so hopefully they’ll be better for me.

Not sure what to suggest with the other issues, but it can take a while for them to fully improve. Nebido’s Testosterone Effects Tool reckons it takes a year for all improvements to erectile function to show.

I also had a fast bump, thought I would never have a use for ED meds again. Things settled down to where I needed the meds about half the time. Months latter I simply do not need them. If your ED is a circulation issue as well as a libido issue. Some changes take time and some other issues are not T

I have had similar issues and have spoken to Jay Campbell of TRT Revolution about this and have read much of Nelson Vergel’s and Dr John Crisler’s work.

I’m not convinced that getting E2 in the lower 20’s is best anymore. Campbell stated that he has completely changed his stance on E2 and believes that having E2 in the lower 20’s is disastrous and way too low. His sweet spot is between 45-65pg/ml for E2 and feels best there. He does not use an A.I I believe.

You can read a 45 link-long thread on Excel Male by Vergel which largely supports the knowledge that higher E2 levels actually result in significantly increased libido and sexual function when testosterone levels are high. I am of the opinion that E2 levels are more uniquely individual now and it may require some experimenting i.e, tweaking.

You say you had a better libido when you started - yet your E2 was not in the lower 20’s. I suspect you need higher E2, though not too high, and need to switch to atleast twice a week injections for stable testosterone and E2 levels. I don’t think once a week is ideal at all. See if you can go to 75mg’s twice a week or 50-60mg 3 times per. (This is Jay Campbell’s recommended protocol and he’s been a TRT patient and men’s health advisor for 17 years.)
