TRT At Normal Level to Gain Muscle?

This is what I was getting at with the quotes.

I didn’t see any of this from @roscoe88.

This wasn’t directed at @roscoe88 at all. Might be a screw up in the way I replied. @roscoe88 is a good guy.

Apologies for the confusion.

See? I did it again!

I’d rather resolve the symptoms with just testosterone, and be slightly over the range, than take a little bit of testosterone and resolve the rest of my symptoms using other pharmaceuticals. I believe, long term, it would be healthier than the second option.

Can we at least agree on that?

I am not convinced that all mental health issues can be solved with higher dose testosterone. Even high dose testosterone (have tried 150 mg/wk, 200 mg/wk, 325 mg/wk (blast), and 600 mg/wk (current blast)), and I have had anxiety and ADHD at all doses.

Hopefully, I don’t need over 600 mg/wk for symptom resolution? I would sure be jacked though.

I don’t want to strawman you. Perhaps you mean at least see if these things go away before using other meds?

I never said we can fix everything with testosterone. What I’m saying is that if, for example, all of MY symptoms are resolved with a high dose, I’d rather do it that way than take a bit along with sleeping pills, pain killers, anti inflammatories, cialis, caffeine pills, etc. etc.

If someone can fix the vast majority of their issues using testosterone, use THAT before using any drugs.

To ME, this is common sense.

I think you replied, before I added my last line in an edit.

I agree with you up to a point. I don’t think it makes sense to be running blast dosages all the time if that is what it takes for symptom resolution. If it is say going up to 250 mg/wk, and you can avoid other drugs, then it is probably worth it. Depends on the individual though. If they have already had a cardiac event, it might not be a great approach.

Sometimes it isn’t either or too. It might be a combo of both. The longer I go on, the more I am thinking I need to address ADHD. I am on testosterone, but it just has made me an energetic distracted person vs a tired one.

Yes, exactly. If they do, use testosterone. If they don’t, then you have to find something else that will.

I do not hang on every word. I have personally researched TRT levels exhaustively because it is something I have always been curious about. I know they have decreased over time. That is evident from multiple studies. Many which you have posted. I am a computer software engineer specializing in AI and statistical analysis. I like statistics. I am curious what the ‘normal’ levels are because I am more than double what is ‘normal’ for my age. I have been anywhere from TT just over 1000 to as high as 1350 over the past 14 months and I still do not have symptom resolution. I very well may increase my dose and take my levels to triple the normal range for my age to see if I get symptom resolution. I recognize this is not ‘normal’ but I am all for it if it resolves my symptoms. Will there be any long term side effects from running TT at 1300, 1500 or higher long term? No one can say for sure. Every one has to make their own choices but they should realize they are running at double to triple of what is considered ‘normal’

Maybe I am nitpicking but when people say 1100, 1200 or 1500 were ‘normal’ just a few years ago it is simply not the case. I have not seen one study that shows that. I have not seen a single study showing men in their 20’s with normal (average) levels of 1000+. Those numbers are the top of the range and are outliers.

I guess the argument is, seeing how all the levels are steadily declining since the beginning of that study, what were they 200 years ago? 300 years ago? And so on. Have they been dropping for hundreds of years? Is this just a recent thing?

The biggest thing is that 600 doesn’t have the same bang for the buck that it used to for many men. This makes them have to go higher to feel the way a guy with 600 felt like 100 years ago.

Sir is 450ng/dl low for a 17 year old? I did one more test again at 19 and it was 550. Close to mean average 600 i guess?
Now im 21 and again i have 450 T, i started Gym and will use clomid. @dbossa

Could be due to a number of issues. 450 is on the lower end for a 21 year old. You’d need a proper doc to try to determine why you’re low at that age. Free testosterone levels are more of a factor than total.

Can you please check out this thread of mine, because my full blood results are there. Close to the bottom of the page, you can see my Free T levels. It is 22,55 pg/mL
Is it low or ok for my age? Thanks. @dbossa

That’s a good level of free T for your age. Some guys on TRT don’t even get that high. I’m really wondering if you should be messing around with this right now
