Tricep Tendon or Cartiledge Problem?

Hello, I am new to weight lifting, this may be something completely healthy but I would like to ask and make sure.

I was doing some dumbbell tricep extensions, the behind the head dumbbell lifts, when I was doing this, it felt like a tendon or cartilage was overlapping the corner of my elbow or joint as i lowered the dumbbell and cracking back into place as soon as I started to extend my arms. After the workout, it feels kind of sore. I’m not sure if its bad technique or If i did some minor injury to it or even if its completely normal.

Any help?
