Here is the teaser poster for the new live action/cgi Transformers movie. Its scheduled for a July 4, 2007 release.

I absolutely loved Transformers, but I am so afraid they are going to fuck this up I can’t get excited for it. I still have some of the sweet old toys, I wonder if they’re value is going to skyrocket if the movie is popular.
They will most likely fuck it up to hell. Too bad, I loved the original.

if they do a proper job with Soundwave, Starscream/Skywarp/Thundercracker, Shockwave, and Astrotrain while also leaving out the Dinobots, this movie could be sweet.

Michael “Pearl Harbor” Bay. Christ. Low-brow, forgettable, special effect-laden crapola, here we come. Speilberg is Executive Producer, so maybe it might not suck.
Oh and apparently it’s not based on the classic series, but one of the later versions or something else entirely. Joy.

I don’t see how they can make a “live” action movie out of this. It still won’t be as good as the original Transformers movie…

Thats been the talk behind the scenes. The only news reports of it were “unforseen difficulties” with regards to Bumblebee being a VW.
