Training Type 1B

Hi coach

My nureo type is 1B, and as i learned i shouldnt stress on my muscles more than 30 seconds, so i have do fast eccentric if lets say will go through 6 reps

And some of your programs based on slow eccentric and increasing it week by week

So what should i do to improve every week ?

With 1Bs I still use slow eccentrics BUT speed up the last 1/4th of the eccentric to be able to use the stretch reflex.

Here’s an example from a 1B bobsleigh guy I’m training.

The less than 30 seconds is not a hard rule, it’s just that 1Bs tend to produce more lactate/hydrogen ions. Just rest a bit longer between sets.

I can highly recommend THIS program for 1B. I do 2 exercises of it per day - though the program calls for 1! I can handle the volume with little fall off in performance.

Not even sure what it is I like about it so much, but as a strong 1B type it hits the spot!

Just took the test I’m a 1B guy. And am in Week 1 of the Busy Person program. The eccentric emphasis is great…
