In 2 minds about these. I want to continue doing it like this and to really push the limit, I think its a hyper effective exercise. At the same time the shit I am stepping up onto feels unsafe, like I am probably nearing the weight limit with weighing 210 and lifting 225ish. This Anytime by far has the best barbells of any of them but has no standard plyo boxes to do stepups with. They all are hard plastic or have a little give to them. So the 2 solutions are back up and do more reps or go to a different Anytime and suffer from the shitty barbells.

First and last sets of 147 are rep PRs. 147 is the most I have ever Log Pressed any style and it was for four doubles. So next weeks 152 for 4 x 3 will be a all time weight PR for Log Press.

Chinups went a set of 3 body weight, worked up to 2 sets of 2 with 17.5lbs added, did 2 drop sets of 5 with bodyweight, and an additional drop set of 7 using a light band for a little help.

Nice log brah. I never got around to trying it out when I passed through a gym that had one. Whatever carry over from OHP is there? I can press 175ish so …

I had around a 90-95% carryover, but my barbell strict press form had a lot of lean back in it similar to how a log is naturally.

Really happy with these. Was pretty hard so instead of more pause work for the backdowns I switched to RDLs. Second set was brutal from the moment it broke the floor on the first rep. I just keep finding the reps though.

Thanks, it’s probably my favorite deadlift accessory. Pushed it hard during my Off Season training and was able to turn around on a dime and add 25lbs to what I was doing for sets of 10. I like it because I have to exert a certain amount of control over it, I can’t bounce the weight or use stretch reflex.

Someone took the rack that is underneath the rings while I was benching. So I just switched the v handle chinup bar. This gym has a lot of places to do pullups with a lot of unique handles, I just prefer the rings because they are harder.
