Song of the Day: Raise Your Horns by Amon Amarth
Warmed up with Strict Press, did 2 sets of Push Press, then went back to Strict Press for ‘strength volume’

1 x 10 @ 45
1 x 6 @ 65
1 x 1 @ 95
Push Press
1 x 1 @ 135 (61.5)
1 x 1 @ 140 (63.5)
Strict Press
1 x 3 @ 115 (52.2)(misload)
4 x 3 @ 110 (49.9)
1 x 8 @ 85 (38.6)
Barbell Row
3 x 15 @ 135 (61.5) (Huge PR)
Cable Overhead Ext.
3 x 15 @ 32.5
1 x 25 @ 22.5
Side Bend
1 x 25 @ 40
Tons of reverse flyes and hammercurls for joint health.
Changed my Overhead Routine and plan a little bit. Instead of pushing on to 130, 132.5, and 135 for very very very low volume in the coming weeks I decided to drop back to 110 to start building again. Started a few weeks back from when I failed 5 x 3 first time through so I could have some new acclimation to training style and volume Chose to can other overhead pressing variants for 1 top set of Push Press and the tricep work. Going to have Push Press in there every week and 1 drop set at a low intensity to get more Strict Press Volume.
Was pushed for time since I got to the gym late so everything was supersetted or giantsetted. Got everything done in 40 minutes.
The Barbell Row stuff was a huge PR. Until I changed my back training style I had plateued on it. Using more volume, less fucks given, more variation, and just went with the mentality of ‘do work’ my rowing rep strength jumped way up. I do most of my back volume with Cable Row machine and Dumbbells. Only decided to do Barbell tonight since the bar on the deadlift platform was loaded with 135.
