Training Splits

My strongman day is usually Saturday, sometimes Sunday if necessary.

I wanted to see how you guys split up your training in the gym. do you train body parts, specific lifts, etc?

It’s so hard to fit it all in. Our training is dictated by upcoming contests but this would be pretty standard.

Monday; M/E upper body, one heavy press, heavy tri move, rear delts, upper back

Tuesday; off

Wendsday; Lower body. We try to keep it dynamic but it often turns heavy. Almost always a squat or deadlift variation as the first move, then a GM, oly move, etc. Low back, ab work

Thurs; accessory work, whatever you need work on. May be rehab, arms, more upper back, etc.

Friday; off

Saturday; event work, more core work

Sunday; off
