Training Log (OLY/Rock)

I will need feedback as I try to process what the top minds are doing. I would love replies to these. I spend a good hour thinking about them on my way home and like sharing what I know.

Time for 75 again. Back to the grind not. I’ve been eating.

Still young so gonna milk it for what’s it worth.
Dropping out of comp. and using the time to get ready.
Still aiming for 80 though.
Listening to soft music helps with making this decision.

Long day yes. Quite ambitious

Now that I know I don’t have to prepare for a comp, I have the time and energy for this long workout. EVEN LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

It’s not competition stress or laziness. It’s delegation of focus.

In theory, you’re moving a deadweight.

Training programs will switch from strength/power focus to speed and power specialization.

Met con like cindy will be frequent.

I have so much more enthusiasm for these type of workouts now that I have a goal.

Naturally, this means if my strength is up to par, I will still compete.

But I can do all the met-con I want now.

I’m going to record the lift, FAIL or good lift and post it here for all to see.
Better get it up.

Yea, that’ll do. No way do I want to throw my face here, Feeling more hyped now.

  1. I didn’t wake up groggy.
  2. I have to walk 1.5KM to the bus stop and another KM to the gym.
  3. That requires energy. If you expect to be there by 12PM and wake up at 2PM, you might as well go another day. Save the energy for later.
  4. If you wait it out, the intention gets more serious and the propensity to lift it becomes greater.
  5. BUT if you don’t treat it seriously, it fades away.

Luckily, I’m always fucking serious.

It’ll be done without smokes.

The drive must be there.

Okay, here goes. And I took a smoke.

I got it up! That’s my breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week.

I got encouragement from my friends. Couldn’t have done it w/o them. They’re so tired but they still notice everything.

Replaced pull-ups with chins

Weigh-in successful. Lost 2KG overnight.

Exercise is an excellent mood-regulator, did you know that?
I was withholding a lot of unpleasant stuff (fatigue/nicotine overdose/liquid) but I feel a lot better now.

That’s why I recommend this brand of metcon. Do it and you feel recharged for another round of intervals. But you have to give it your best shot!

I respected the air squats more and gave them more depth. (I was so tired).

If you performed Cindy, you would feel the abs really really giving out after the workout.

I could not even walk 80m home. Keeled over at the 30m mark. This is why I respect Met-con!!!

I meant 2KG in 20hours.
61.2 to 59.2
That means if I slept, it’ll be 2.2KG.

That’s a PB from 65 to 62.4.

I tried running but I’m in no shape.

Likewise, the butchered crossfit workout (minus 30 one-legged squats) denoting:
10 handstand pushups
20 calorie rows (wtf’s that. substituted with 10 horiz rows)

wouldn’t workout. Arms quit after the first set.


But am I disappointed no. I got out and ran and felt my in-grown toenail.

I can probably do the 3K tmr and the crossfit workout too so at least I have a plan for tomorrow.

And I definitely feel way more awake now.

The exertion from running (even if it’s just 300m) is a good alarm clock.
