Same, Christian. The mental part/ really focusing on something that’s difficult is much harder for me in the evening. I’m taking an Oly class from 5:30-6:45 pm right now and by the end I’m having a hard time really concentrating like I need to.
I’m the same way. Up until this year, I didn’t drink coffee, energy drinks, etc. If I’m to have any intensity in my AM workouts, I need all the caffeine I can get… which 200mg is enough to give me the shakes.
I usually wake up at 5:50 and lift at 6:30… I might try waking up at 5 to have an hour and half before lifting. I’ve never thought about needing time to wake up… In college we had 6AM hitting followed by weights, and I couldn’t be bothered to wake up before 5:50. lol
