I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind giving me your opinion on my training set-up for fighters? It seems with all the practices (4-5 per week) there is little time and ability to recover from a lot of extra training. How would you set up a training split for these athletes? Especially if this athlete has a problem with recovery.
The following is what I have currently
Mon AM: Lower: Snatch, Deadlift, Sled dragging PM: Grappling
Tues AM: Grappling
Wed AM: Upper body: Bench press, chins, and Rows PM: Grappling
Thurs PM: Grappling
Fri Lower body: Cleans, Squats, 1-leg squat/Sled dragging
Only training the big lifts like cleans, snatches, deadlift, bench, and chins.
